A Campaign on Protection of Child Rights, Education & Covid 19 Initiated

INDICATOR 1: 61 SDMCs with (50% women Members) ensured that 50% of the compliance’s components of RTE Act are implemented in 61 Government Primary Schools of 8 districts of 4 divisions in Karnataka by 2023

 PROGRAMMES:

      1. Consultation to present the baseline data to the stakeholders
      2. Consultation with Government Authority to finalise the MOU
      3. District level Consultation & review with the DDPI/BEO/CRP/BRP/HM
      4. Consultation for finalisation of monitoring tool on RTE Compliances
      5. Consultation with expertise on SATWA SDMC Training Manual for the SDMC Empowerment as per the RTE Compliances
      6. Orientation for 40 RTE Promoters to understand the situation of 61 schools of 8 Clusters
      7. 61 School level Intervention by the Promoters to understand the School Situation based on the standard checklist
      8. Presentation of School intervention report by the 40 RTE Promoters and Selection Process of 8 MTs for 8 Cluster
      9. Training for 8 Master Trainers and 8 CRPs on School based SDMC of 8 districts of 4 divisions.
      10. School level SDMC Trainings at 61 schools in 4 levels.
      11. Preparation of Quarterly Review Tool on RTE Compliances
      12. Quarterly Review on RTE Compliances 8 clusters of 8 Districts of 4 divisions (Master Trainers, SDMC Representatives, CRPs, Children Representative, PDOs, Panchayath Rep, BEOs)
      13. Half Yearly assessment at 61 schools (consisting HMs, all SDMC, CRPs, Divisional coordinators and CP)
      14. District level convention on RTE Implementation with Stakeholders
      15. Impact study of 61 Project Schools & un controlled 16 Schools at the End of 3rd Year
      16. Intervention with School Authorities by th0e Mater Trainers- at 61 schools

INDICATOR 2: THE ISSUE OF BUDGETARY PROVISIONS FOR SCHOOL LEVEL TRAININGS FOR ALL SDMCS MEMBERS IS AT LEAST TAKEN UP AND DISCUSSED IN THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA (VERIFIABLE BY RESPECTIVE PUBLISHED STATE PROTOCOLS/REPORTS.

PROGRAMMES:

          1. Consultation with stakeholders with regard to the RTE compliances in Karnataka
          2. Convergence Consultation with the Education Department/DSERT, SCPCR, SDMC Representatives, Children Representatives, Parents council members, Civil society Representatives, Teachers Representatives on the basis of compiled report of situation analysis
          3. Consultation with KSCPCR and Ministry of Education on the School Based SDMC trainings and presentation of the recommendations on the basis of situation Analysis of 77 schools.
          4. Regular Dialogues on final approval and allocation of budget with the KSCPCR and Education Ministry and dept.
          5. State level Convention on RTE Act Implementation

INDICATOR-3: 24 LOCAL AUTHORITIES (GP TOWN, CORPORATION) FULFILL THEIR MONITORING RESPONSIBILITIES IN GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOLS OF ITS JURISDICTION AS PER THE RTE ACT IN DAKSHINA KANNADA & UDUPI DISTRICTS OF KARNATAKA (VERIFIABLE ON BASIS OF THE RTE ACT AND RESPECTIVE MONITORING CHECKLIST).

PROGRAMMES:

          1. Present situation study on the role performed by the 24 local authorities on the basis of school monitoring.
          2. Preparation of monitoring tool, training of to conduct the study, baseline data collection)
          3. Consultation on rte with district authorities
          4. Training module preparation workshop
          5. On the subject of local government acts; rte act; sustained development goal; child right and child related acts to empower the local authorities
          6. Trainings for 40 resource persons of 2 federations in different subjects local government acts; rte act; sustained development goal; child right and child related acts to empower the local authorities
          7. Preparation of review tool to guage the performance of local authorities
          8. Awareness through the skilled cultural groups to create awareness to general public in town/village on local government act and rte act
          9. Workshops on resource development for advocacy and community ownership.
          10. Half yearly assessment: consultation and quarterly review with target group/local authority based on the training outcome.
