On 17th May, celebrated International Child Helpline Day, an Inaugurated Program at 11 am in Mangalore Central Railway Station, whereby the services provided by CHILDLINE 1098 imparted through a Jaatha covering the entire Mangaluru City. Government Officials have been participated as dignitaries for the program to share their views on Child Helpline and how it can be effectively implemented based on the geographical criteria of the district.
International Child Helpline Day on May 17th is dedicated to celebrating the work of Child Helplines all over the world.
CHILDLINE 1098, India’s first 24hour, free, emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care and protection from 0 to 18yrs with staunch support from various government departments like Women and Child welfare department, Police Department, District Child Protection Unit, Labor Department, Social Welfare Department, Education Department, Juvenile Justice Board and Child Welfare Committee has been serving the children in need through CHILDLINE 1098.
