International Child Helpline Day on May 17^th is dedicated to celebrating the work of Child Helplines all over the world.

CHILDLINE 1098, India’s first 24hour, free, emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care and protection from 0 to 18yrs with staunch support from various government departments like Women and Child welfare department, Police Department, District Child Protection Unit, Labor Department, Social Welfare Department, Education Department, Juvenile Justice Board and Child Welfare Committee has been serving the children in need through CHILDLINE 1098.

On 17^th May, to celebrate International Child Helpline Day, an Inaugural Program at 11 am in Mangalore Central Railway Station has been planned whereby the services provided by CHILDLINE 1098 shall be imparted through a Jaatha covering the entire Mangaluru City. Government Officials have been invited as dignitaries for the program to share their views on Child Helpline and how it can be effectively implemented based on the geographical criteria of the district.

The general public is welcome to participate and give their valuable views and inputs. We also look forward to support from every citizen to provide a Safe, Secure and healthy Society for our precious children as it is their right and our Prime Duty to protect them.
